AmaPlayer Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information AmaPlayer collects, why we use it, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. It applies to the AmaPlayer app and the AmaPlayer web pages that link to it.
1. Who we are
AmaPlayer is provided by AMAPLAYER PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U85410UP2025PTC239912), registered in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India ("AmaPlayer", "we", "us"). We decide how and why your personal information is used.
2. Who can use AmaPlayer
- You must be 13 or older to have your own account.
- Under 13: you cannot create an account. A parent or guardian can create a parent account and add you to it.
- 13 to 17: a parent or guardian must approve your account in the app, from their own parent account. Until they approve it, your account stays private.
- Athletes and coaches give their date of birth when they sign up. Once set, it cannot be changed in the app; contact us to correct a mistake.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account and profile: name, username, email address, password (held by our sign-in provider, never by us in readable form), date of birth, role (athlete, coach, parent or organisation), sports, gender, city, state and country, mobile number if you add one, profile and cover photos, bio.
- Parent accounts: details a parent gives about their child, such as the child's name, date of birth, sport and school or academy.
- Content: posts, photos, videos, stories, moments, talent videos, comments, forum discussions and answers, messages and voice messages, likes, follows and the people you tag.
- Sports information: match records and statistics, practice logs, achievements, certificates and verified stats.
- Parent approval: the email address or mobile number a 13–17 year old gives for their parent, and the parent's decision.
- Support and safety: reports you make, people you block, and messages you send to support.
Information from others
- Match scoring: when a scorer adds you to a match by name, your name and stats from that match are stored privately, readable only by our servers, until you sign up and claim them. The scorer shares the claim link from their own phone; AmaPlayer does not message you.
- Talent-video verification: when you verify an athlete's video on our verification page, we receive your Google account name, email address and profile photo, a device identifier, your decision and any comment.
- Sign-in providers: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email address they share.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app: app version, device type and operating system, and a push-notification token so we can send you notifications.
- Crash reports: technical details when the app crashes (Firebase Crashlytics), used only to fix problems.
- Usage statistics: for users 18 and over only, which screens and features are used (Google Analytics for Firebase), without advertising identifiers, names, contact details, posts or messages. You can switch this off in Settings → Privacy. It is never collected for users under 18 or for accounts without a date of birth.
- Location: only if you allow it, to tag a post or talent video with where you are.
4. How we use information
- To create and run your account and profile, and to provide the app's features: feeds, messaging, matches and scoring, events, rankings, verification and stats.
- To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, enforcing our Terms, blocking, and protecting young users.
- To provide support, keep the service secure, fix problems and understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal information and we do not show targeted advertising.
5. Who can see your information
- Public account: your profile, posts and records can be seen by anyone signed in to AmaPlayer.
- Private account: your posts and records can be seen only by followers you approve. Your name, username and photo can still appear, for example in search.
- Never shown to other users: your email address, mobile number and date of birth.
- Blocking: people you block, and people who block you, cannot see each other's content.
- Academies: if you or your parent join a coach's or organisation's academy, your name and photo can appear on its member list. For a parent account, the child's first name is shown with the parent's name.
- Public pages: a match's public score page shows the score and team names only. A talent-video verification page shows the athlete's name, photo, sport and video to people who have the link.
- AmaPlayer staff: authorised staff can access personal information, including contact details, for support, safety, moderation and internal reporting.
6. Saving photos and videos
When an adult with a public account shares a public post, other signed-in users can save that post's photos and videos to their phone, unless the owner turns off "Allow others to save my photos and videos" in Settings → Privacy.
- Photos and videos from accounts under 18, from accounts without a date of birth, and from parent accounts can never be saved by others.
- Once someone has saved a photo or video, the copy is on their device and AmaPlayer cannot remove it.
- People who save someone else's media may use it only for personal, non-commercial purposes, as set out in our Terms.
7. Children and teens
- Accounts are for people aged 13 and over; a parent approves every account aged 13–17, and it is private until they do.
- We do not collect usage statistics from anyone under 18, and we do not track or target them with advertising.
- Others can never save the photos and videos of an account under 18.
- A parent or guardian can contact us at any time to see, correct or delete their child's information, or to withdraw their approval.
8. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run AmaPlayer, under contracts that limit how they may use the information:
- Google Firebase — sign-in, crash reports, usage statistics and notifications.
- Supabase — our database, hosted in Mumbai, India.
- Cloudflare — storing and delivering photos and videos.
- Google and Apple — signing in with those accounts.
Some of these providers may process information outside India. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our users, the public or AmaPlayer.
9. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account in Settings, we delete your profile and content. We may keep limited records where the law requires it or to deal with a safety report, and copies in our backups expire within a short period.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls that let each person see only what they are allowed to. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction: you can see and edit most of your information in the app, or ask us for a copy or a correction.
- Erasure: you can delete your account in Settings, or ask us to delete your information.
- Consent: you can withdraw consent, for example by switching off usage statistics or media saving in Settings → Privacy.
- Privacy controls: make your account private, choose who can tag you, block people and report content.
- Grievances and nomination: you can raise a grievance with us, and nominate a person to exercise your rights if you cannot.

We will acknowledge your request and respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we make a significant change, we will tell you in the app and update the date at the top of this page.
